Accident

Posted on April 22 at 2:52 p.m.

I finished digging a hole in front of Nook's store and covered it with tree branches. Then I climbed up a tree nearby to watch. This was going to be perfect. This would be the perfect way to get revenge on that stupid old Tom Nook. Well, Nook stepped out of his store and was walking up to the hole! But then he stepped right around it! He must have noticed the hole!

Furious, I banged my fists on the tree branch, causing it to snap! I fell and hit the ground and started to cry because my arm broke!

Punchy managed to get this cool picture of me falling out of the tree!

Revenge

Posted on April 21 at 3:22 p.m.

Punchy didn't think it was very funny when I told him my plan for getting revenge on Nook. "You're only going to get into trouble!" he said.

"No," I said, "After I prank him, I'm going to hide in a tree so he can't find me."

"But what's the point?" asked Punchy. "Tom Nook sold you a house, and instead instead of paying for it, you're going to play a trick on him? That's just not right..."

"But it'll be funny!" I smiled brightly.

Greedy Nook

Posted on April 20 at 8:23 p.m.

Nook walked up to me earlier today. "You still owe me several thousand Bells for building your house. I'm growing rather concerned because you haven't paid me for it." Jeez, some people are so greedy. The voices in my head convinced me that I need to teach him a lesson.

Tailor Shop

Posted on April 19 at 6:00 p.m.

Today, I found the tailors' shop near the beach and ran inside. Inside, there were porcupines! They are the Able Sisters. Mable was nice and greeted me, but Sable wasn't talking to me.

"Um, please go talk to my sister over there," said Sable without removing a paw from her work. She was running a sewing machine in front of her. "I'm too busy to talk."

"Sable!" shouted Mable, "be nice and talk to our customers! You always have your face in that sewing machine!"

"Yeah!" I agreed. I leaned forward, getting in Sable's face. Unfortunately, I happened to lean on the fabric she was sewing, and I moved it around and I caused her to crumple up the fabric in the machine and ruin the whole thing.

"Mable..." Sable moaned to her sister.

"Um," Mable said to me, "perhaps you'd better leave for today. But I didn't leave until I made her promise to make me an I'm With Stupid shirt.

I Climbed a Tree!

Posted on April 17 at 5:22 p.m.

Today, I was spying on people from high up on a tree branch, and I noticed Pompom walk beneath me, completely unaware of my presence. I was about to jump down on her when I backed into a beehive. The bees started buzzing loudly and I got startled and fell off the branch. I fell to the ground with a thud and a loud snap (my arm breaking) and Pompom, hearing this, turned around just in time to see about a hundred billion bees sting my left eye.

"Ooooh," she said, "you're going to need some medicine for that."

Stupid bees! I'll bee getting my revenge soon! (Oh, that was terrible...)

The Chosen One

Posted on April 16 at 6:23 p.m.

This morning, Punchy had me follow him through the rain to the beach, where I saw Admiral, Pompom, and Static huddled together, holding umbrellas. They all started cheering when I arrived.

"I learned something yesterday," said Punchy. "I fished all day, but I couldn't catch the coelacanth. So far, you have been the only one able to pull a coelacanth out of the water." He handed me the fishing rod. "I think you might have the lucky touch!"

"Lucky?!" I exclaimed, "No way. I'm cursed! I always catch the coelacanth! I don't wanna fish," I said. It was fine by me if I never saw that stupid monster fish again.

"Please," said Punchy. "You don't want to let everyone down, do you?"

"Fine," I said, taking the fishing rod from Punchy and casting it into the water. Everyone started cheering and shouting encouragement at me, but I couldn't make out any individual voices because they were all yelling at once.

Then, I saw my bobber dip under the water. Everyone became silent as I pulled the rod. The coelacanth flew out of the water, into my arms. Then, I screamed and started to throw it back into the ocean, but Punchy tackled me to the ground and took the fish from me.

"Would you look at that!" exclaimed Static. "You caught the coelacanth!"

Gluey

Posted on April 15 at 8:08 p.m.

Punchy and I went to Nook's store today to get a fishing rod to replace the one I lost. I asked Nook if he sold glue, but he said he didn't.

"What do you want glue for?" asked Punchy.

"If I glue the fishing rod to my hands, then I can't throw it into the river!"

"That's a weird idea," said Punchy, "but let's give it a try. I have some glue we can use." We went to his house and got some glue out of the cabinet. Punchy oozed it into my hand.

"Good," I said, rubbing my palms together, getting them all gluey. "Let's go catch that stupid fish." I opened the door to go out, but my hand got glued to the door knob, and I spent most of the day stuck in Punchy's doorway.

I Hate Scary Fish

Posted on April 14 at 10:37 p.m.

Punchy bought a new fishing rod today and asked me to go fishing with him. "Fishing is a lot more fun if you have someone to talk with." Punchy cast his line into the water. While he was fishing, we discussed questions of philosophy, such as, Why is the sky blue?

It steadily began raining as Punchy fished for hours, searching for the coelacanth. "I love fishing," he said, "but I'm starting to get discouraged. And wet." Rain continued to pour. Punchy felt a tug and pulled a fish out of the ocean. "Another sea bass?! Ugh." He threw the fish back into the water. I was sitting dry under a pear tree, but Punchy was becoming soaking wet. "I need to take a break. Here. You fish now." He handed me the fishing rod and sat under the tree, shaking off the water.

"Okay, my turn," I said, nervously. I cast the line into the water. Nothing happened for a few minutes, but then I felt a tug and saw the bobber dip. I hesitated for a short moment, but then I pulled really hard. Out of the water came flying the horrible, atrocious, ghastly, demon fish! "AIEEEEEE!" It landed in my hands. I screamed as I threw it back into the ocean; the connected fishing rod followed.

"Noooooooo!" wailed Punchy, who was running toward me. He grabbed me by the shoulders. "That was it! You just let the coelacanth go!"

Coelacanth

Posted on April 13 at 4:22 p.m.

Punchy finally got me to go back to where we saw the coelacanth, but it took him a lot of Bells to encourage me to go back. And Admiral went with us this time. So anyway, I put a big juicy worm on the hook, cast the line into the water, and we stood there. I was really nervous, but Punchy wanted to catch the coelacanth.

As we stood, I asked Punchy why he wanted the coelacanth. "It didn't even look tasty," I pointed out.

"Scientists have been searching for coelacanths for years," he explained. "It's like the oldest fish in the world! I guess that they can learn a lot about fish history by studying the coelacanth."

Suddenly, I felt a big tug on my line. I got scared and let go of the fishing rod and it was carried under the water.

"That's the last time I let you borrow my fishing rod!" yelled Punchy, stomping his feet and storming off.

Punchy wants me to catch the coelacanth, but I'm just too scared! What should I do?

Scary Fish

Punchy and I returned to where we saw the coelacanth, and I was going to catch it, but I got scared and ran away.

Fishing Tourney

Posted on April 11 at 8:01 p.m.

A beaver named Chip set up a tent near town hall today. He would be judging the fishing tourney. Whoever could catch the biggest fish would win. I told him I didn't have a fishing rod, so he gave me one for free, just so long as I promised to give him lots of tasty fish to judge.

Punchy and I fished this afternoon in the rain, and I was getting jealous because he kept getting lots of sea bass so I picked up a big juicy worm off of the ground and stuck it onto my fishing hook and threw that into the water. A few minutes later, I felt a big tug on my line, so I pulled really hard, and out of the water came a BIG SCARY MONSTER FISH!

I got scared, so I threw it back in the water.

"What!?! Why did you do that??" Punchy asked. He looked shocked. "That was a coelacanth! The rarest fish of all! We'll never see one of those again!"

"Oh well," I said, "We'll just catch him tomorrow."

More Fishing Practice

Posted on April 10 at 5:52 p.m.

We were doing some more fishing practice today. Punchy is really excited for the fishing tournament. He's not as good at fishing as Static, but he loves seafood.

After fishing for several hours this afternoon, I got really angry. "STUPID FISHES!" I screamed.

"What's wrong?" asked Punchy.

"I can't catch any stupid fish." I reeled in my fishing line

"Hmmm," said Punchy, "maybe the problem is that you don't have any bait on your hook!" He dug through his pockets. "Here," he attached a lure to my fishing line. "Now you ought to catch hundreds of fish!"

I cast my line into the river, and felt a tug after only a few seconds. I pulled really hard to yank the fish out of the water. But I didn't catch a fish! I caught a rusty tin can! "AARRRRGH!" I screamed. "STUPID FISHES!" Then I hurled my fishing rod into the river.

Fishing Practice

Posted on April 9 at 7:12 p.m.

Punchy knocked on my door this morning and asked if we could all practice fishing because of the fishing tournament in two days. So Punchy, Pompom, Admiral, Static, and I went to the riverbank to do some fishing. Admiral said he had seen me fishing before, and he said that I need the practice terribly.

Static is much better at fishing than me. I stole some of his fish and put them in my fish bucket to impress Admiral with my big catch, but he wasn't impressed. "If you wanted to impress me," he said, "you would have made sure that we hadn't seen you stealing the fish." Static angrily requested his fish back, but I said no. Instead I threw them, bucket and all, into the river. Then Static threw me into the river! Ugh, the nerve of some people!

My Neighbors

Posted on April 8 at 7:25 p.m.

Earlier today, I wrote about Punchy in my diary blog. Now I think I'll write about my other neighbors.

The green bird is Admiral. He's pretty quiet and usually stays inside reading or something. The duck girl is Pompom. She's basically the opposite of Admiral: she cheers and runs around a lot, and she's really nice. Then, we have Static, the purple squirrel. He's kinda the opposite of Pompom because he's not so nice. He likes to tease me. Then we have Nook. Tom Nook. He runs the store and he's always making me pay for stuff I want from his store. They were all already living here when I moved into Treehut, and they were all very nice greeting me to town.

I Got a New Computer!

Posted on April 8 at 4:32 p.m.

I got a new computer! Nook had it on sale! I still couldn't afford it, so I had to beg with Nook to give it to me for free. He said no, but Punchy, my best friend in the whole world, said he would split the cost with me so long as he can come over and play computer games whenever he wants to.

Punchy helped me get connected to the internet. It's really slow. Everyone has to use dial-up because there's no high speed internet here in Treehut. Actually, Treehut is really small. I moved here a few weeks ago from another small town. Treehut has only five residents: me, Punchy, Admiral, Pompom, and Static. There's also a store called Nook's Cranny. Nook is kinda stupid, but he did sell me my house, so he's okay. There's also a tailor shop here, run by two porcupine sisters. I haven't had a lot of time to explore the town, though, because I've been busy running chores for Nook (because I couldn't afford to pay for my house) and going fishing with Punchy (he loves fishing—I suck at it).

Also, Punchy helped me set up this blog! It's really easy. All I have to do is open it and write. I can add pictures, too! Here's a picture of Punchy: My blog will probably be kinda boring, but I hope I'll be able to tell you some interesting things about living here in Treehut!
